WinWay 2023 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting

Leading IC testing interface key supplier WinWay Technology6515 TW(hereinafter referred to as WinWay) today held its 2023 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting at the Kaohsiung Nanzih Technology Industrial Park. Hosted by Chairman Mark Wang, the meeting approved the financial report for the previous year (2022), acknowledged the operating report and financial statements for the fiscal year 2022, resolved to distribute cash dividends, and passed the nomination of the ninth board of directors.

 

WinWay consolidated revenue totaled 5.122 billion NT dollars last year, marking a 77.4% annual growth. The annual after-tax net profit attributable to the parent company's owners reached 1.1 billion NT dollars, with an earnings per share of 32.22 NT dollars. Both revenue and profit for the year hit record highs. The shareholders' meeting decided to distribute a cash dividend of 22 NT dollars per share, reaching a dividend payout ratio of 68%.

 

WinWay shareholders' meeting re-elected the board of members in this fiscal year,resulted in five directors: WinWay Chairman Mark Wang , WinWay Senior Vice President of Finance Management Center JQ Lee, WinWay Senior Vice President of Global Business Operations Jason Chen, Director of Li Quan Xing Industry Liu Deng-Gui, Director of SBE Technology Pte Ltd Chiang Hock Woo. Additionally, there were four independent directors elected: lawyer Hong Xiu-Yi from Hong Xiu-Yi Law Firm, Chairman of HLJ Technology Ted Lee, Director Wang Wen-Hsin from a US semiconductor Taiwan branch, and Chairman of Force-mos Technology Dover Chang. In total, nine members were elected to the board of directors.

 

WinWay seeks to expand capacity second factory in Kaohsiung amid fast-growing testing demand primarily for artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, high-performance-computing (HPC) and auto chips, implementing smart manufacturing in the meantime. To be well-prepared for market in the coming years, aiming to achieve Socket-all-in-house manufacturing, which ensure all processes such as the production of these sockets, from start to finish, are handled within WinWay's own facilities. WinWay eyes on achieving 50% self-manufacturing rate of probes, which aids in quality control and reducing the cost of testing sockets.

 

 

During the downturn of semiconductor is about to bottom out, WinWay remains proactive in expanding its high-frequency and high-speed product lines. Specifically, in the realm of advanced logic testing sockets (Coaxial Socket), they are continuously progressing towards larger package sizes with high pin counts, fine pitches, and high power capacities, aligning with customer demands. Currently, WinWay have already completed verification for high-frequency and high-speed testing with over 20,000 pins on a single chip.

 

Regarding the active Thermal Control System, they are meeting product demands that have shifted from 800 watts per chip to accommodating 2000 watts per chip step by step. Additionally, the Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) vertical probe cards (VPC) are undergoing sample verification and are anticipated to contribute to revenue since the fourth quarter of this year.

 

WinWay's Chairman, Mark Wang stated that WinWay has completed its entire product lines and global strategic layout in preparation for the impending AI application boom. He also anticipates substantial revenue growth in semiconductor testing demand over the coming years.
