Intellectual Property Management

To strengthen the Company's industry leading position and secure our advanced technologies, the Company combines our operational goals and R&D resources to formulate the intellectual property strategy. We are actively improving our innovation capabilities and continuously strengthening our intellectual property management system, in order to protect the Company’s R&D results, improve our competitiveness, and ensure our operational freedom.

The Company continues to strengthen the intellectual property management system according to our operational goals and the latest regulations. By conducting robust and proper intellectual property management, we can ensure the transformation of R&D results into intellectual property rights and effective protection for these rights, in order to improve competitiveness and enhance protection.

Patent management

The Company's intellectual property management strategy is focused on the quantity, quality, and value of our patents. In addition to the full deployment of key technologies, we internally optimize patents through the strategic implementation of the patent roadmap, expansion of the patent application roadmap, and the review and compilation of the patent roadmap, thereby securing a strong patent portfolio and achieving the goal of continuous quality improvement.

Trade secret protection

The Company satisfies the protection requirements for trade secrets through the information security system, education and training for all employees, and systematic management. When required by corporate operations, it can effectively invoke laws related to trade secrets to prevent others from illegally obtaining, disclosing, or using the Company's confidential information assets. We are able to protect and defend the Company's and customers' confidential information, thereby improving customer trust and strengthening our partnerships.

Implementation results in 2023

The intellectual property management plan and implementation status are reported to the Board of Directors, and improvement measures are proposed according to the suggestions of the directors. The most recent reporting date is November 8, 2023.
Implement and earn an A-level certification of the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS).
Conduct "Basic Intellectual Property Education Training" session for all employees and "Responsibility-based Intellectual Property Education Training" sessions for members of the intellectual property working group.
Organize regular IP Brainstorming technical discussions to encourage continuous innovation.
Digitization of research and development records to ensure comprehensive documentation and preservation of research and development data by implementing a Research and Development Project Management System.
Comprehensive reviews and evaluations of the value of existing patents are conducted to secure a strong patent portfolio and make the most effective use of corporate resources.
